Dinner for Schmucks

Looking out of the bus window, on the way to vivo-city to catch a movie after EOPT, I wondered.
For a long time now my life has revolved around studying. Every 2 weeks there is a test to clear - anaesthesia, ophthalmology, ENT - without any break. And then next week is the supposedly slack radiology posting which is filled with rotations/lectures from 8am-5pm and an EOPT on the last day.
Whoosh goes the wind.
I'm a little disappointed that my med school days are turning out to be never-ending days of mugging. Fortunately I have nice CG mates that keep my spirits up during the good days, and the bad.

So after ENT EOPT today, our CG went to watch "Dinner for Schmucks". It was a movie filled with humor, both of the good and not-so-good kind, and the premise of jokes seemed to be the idiocity of the titular character - which is precisely the point. Sometimes in the movie I would wonder why on earth was I watching it, with all its lame jokes and ridiculous characters, while other times I would literally be laughing out loud with the crowd AT the antics of the characters.

Towards the end of the movie there was an abrupt change in events which was rather improbable but served to convert the ending into a crowd-pleasing one. That said, the movie served its purpose well as a laugh out loud movie - but the jokes were lame bordering on crude at times.

Here's hoping next week will turn out to be a good one!
