KKH is a busy hospital. Bustling with people, teeming with doctors. We were assigned 8 tutors per group - way too many. Fortunately some were away on leave.
Interestingly, the wards are filled with children having asthma, respiratory tract infections and gastroenteritis. But given the sheer size of the place, there is always somebody interesting to talk to or see.
The timetable is very busy too. Some groups have their timetable packed full with tutorials, in addition to the scheduled lectures, slideshows and clinics. Fortunately my timetable isn't that full so there is still time to see patients on our own (and study, of course)
Interestingly, there was a surge of visitors to this page on 10 May 2010, which of course wasn't updated. Suffice to say I had a great family celebration for my birthday and mother's day (which is one day before my birthday this year), and a delicious bowl of beef lamian courtesy of my cg mates.
Then everyone in my family was rather disappointed on Tuesday when we received a rather depressing kind of news.
It's a roller coaster week for someone. I hope she pulls herself together. (:
